I’m Nawal Makani, the founder and director of N. Studios, an Australian-born Interior Design and Interior Architecture studio creating spaces that tell stories.

I design with lifestyle at the centre of every decision. Each project is shaped around how my clients live, move, and express themselves, resulting in interiors that feel personal, layered, and entirely one of a kind. I’m deeply attentive to detail, believing it’s the quiet moments in a space that give it meaning.
Having designed across Australia, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia, my work draws from a global perspective, blending modern design with cultural nuance to create refined, expressive interiors. I take on a limited number of projects each year to ensure every space is approached with care, intention, and a truly collaborative process.
